AUTOCLEAR specializes in the design, manufacture and support of high
quality, professional security X-ray scanners and metal detection systems.
Advanced detection of explosive devices, weapons, narcotics, and other
contraband has long been our specialty and mission for over sixty years.
The AutoClear® (Dynavision Scan Tech® Division) X-ray scanner line was
originally established by Philips, a world pioneer in medical and industrial
X-ray electronics and have been installed in nearly every airport and
city with modern baggage and parcel security systems. Benefiting from
over 35 security X-ray patents, AUTOCLEAR products have stood for the
most advanced in technology, reliability, and serviceability.
The most advanced features are standard on AUTOCLEAR'S AutoClear systems
and include: Image Enhancement, Automatic Threat Alert, Full Contrast
& Aspect Stretch, High and Low Density Penetration, Sensor-Free Scrolling
and Automatic Edge Enhancement. Dual Energy, with organic and inorganic
stripping displayed on two monitors is available on every model. Each
machine we produce features full baggage coverage with the highest penetration
and clarity. Consistent imaging of hard to scan loose books, magazines
and express envelopes are patented AUTOCLEAR features.
Federal Labs CheckGate® Division engineered the very first security
metal detectors for correctional facilities in the late 1930's. Today,
the CheckGate® 9000 model continues to set the standards at American,
Delta and Southwest Airlines, as well as in the Federal Court and prison
system, numerous power plants, schools, airports and other high throughput
and high security facilities. Control Screening is the exclusive supplier
for the world's largest metal detector user and for many successful
US airlines and international airport facilities. The CheckGate® 8091
correctional metal detector is the pacesetter for the heavy duty institutional
and high-sensitivity applications. Having pioneered fully digital metal
detection for superior reliability, uniformity and accuracy, we also
invented and produced the first digital HandWand™ weapons scanner, the
Model 6041.
AUTOCLEAR also manufactures the MailGuard™, and Letter Bomb™ Detector
line of portable mail and parcel scanners in addition to our conveyorized
cabinet X-ray security scanners; weapons gates and digital handwands.
All design, manufacture and testing are performed at our main plant
in Fairfield, New Jersey. We maintain localized service throughout the
United States.
AUTOCLEAR has over 60 independent agents and distributors overseas who
provide service and sales assistance. In addition to the sale of our
products, all locations are equipped to support turnkey rental and leasing
needs of our customers, 24 hour maintenance contracts, and any required
radiological surveys.
Through the expertise of our International Sales and Service Departments,
we provide our overseas clients with systems designed to integrate with
their specific requirements. Our patented AutoClear® 600 and 700 series
were the first remote check-in X-ray system and the largest installation
of security scanners in the world. Images are efficiently monitored
by fewer operators from a remotely controlled area offering greater
cost effectiveness and convenience.
Our security screening equipment is used in numerous applications including:
cruise ships, airports, corporate mailrooms, schools, courts, correctional
and psychiatric institutions, other government facilities, hospitals,
nuclear power plants, customs, air cargo, agricultural and electronics
inspection, and Olympics, conventions and other special events.
Research, design and development are conducted at the Fairfield plant
by our extensive engineering staff and has included special projects
for the FAA, DOD, DOJ and the US Department of Customs, and for quality
control inspection and anti-theft applications.
